In the past I’ve ranted on about not having any motivation in school, having no reason to get out of bed in the morning. You can’t really help it when you feel so lost in the world. Living everyday without reason. I promised my parents I’ll get A’s this quarter, but sticking to the promise proved harder than I thought. It wasn’t enough motivation to keep up with everything. It all changed one day. Sitting in class, not really paying attention. I was watching the person in front of me browsing through websites on her laptop when she minimized her screen and I saw her wallpaper. It had pictures of what she wants in life with the words “How bad do you want it?” I’ve heard of stories and motivational speeches with those words but they never really had any meaning to me. This time, I understood. How bad do I really want to be an adult that is fully independent? How bad do I want to graduate college with a degree in the medical field? I realized, that’s all the motivation I need. If you don’t want it bad enough, then you probably don’t deserve it. Now ask yourself the same question. Whatever you want in life, how bad do YOU want it? What sacrifices are you willing to give up to get what you want?
